(A Master Roaster) personally samples beans from different regions seeking only the Finest, Richest and most interesting beans.
Coffee beans are generally classified according to the area they are grown in, which affects the taste. The two main types are Arabica and Robusta which contain different amounts of caffeine, flavour and aroma.
Many factors affect coffee taste – the most problematic are oxygen
and moisture. For this reason ALL our coffee beans are allowed to cool before being packaged. They are then packaged in foil bags which ere fitted with a one way valve that allows the coffee to degas and stay fresh longer. Many coffee sellers wait for the beans to become stale and degassed before packaging to avoid using this valve.
